My daughter first joined Get Smart Tutoring in September 2021, Covid left gaps in her learning. I wanted to give her extra support in Maths, and I couldn’t be happier with the impact tutoring has had. I also found the 1-1 parental meetings incredibly helpful, giving a clear understanding of progress and the key areas Get Smart planned to focus on going forward. When my daughter moved on to Secondary School without continued tutoring, I noticed a significant drop in her confidence with Maths during her first year. I have had the privilege of working with Mr and Mrs Pindoria as tutors for my three daughters for over a decade. Mr and Mrs Pindoria are exceptionally talented teachers who show great dedication towards all the children in their care. I have always loved their positivity and the fact that but that their own love of learning and knowledge of the world is infectious!
My children are all very different and Mr and Mrs Pindoria have been able to adapt their teaching strategies to each of their individual learning styles- and temperaments! They are excellent teachers and their ability to break down difficult concepts, nurture curiosity, and build confidence has been invaluable. My eldest daughter who is now in Year 13, studying for her A levels continues to apply the key study skills that Mrs Pindoria instilled in her from a young age. These strategies have helped her to manage her workload effectively and in a positive and healthy way. She is now excelling in psychology, a subject that she loves. This would not have been possible without the secure foundation in mathematics and English that she gained from Mr and Mrs Pindoria.
Mr and Mrs Pindoria have been flexible, responsive and always willing to adapt their plans to accommodate my family’s changing needs. When children miss a session due to sickness, they are always given a replacement lesson. I can imagine that this must cause some logistical issues sometimes, but Mr and Mrs Pindoria unfailingly put children first.
In 2020 my family moved 37 miles away from Redbridge and they were still prepared to continue supporting the children through online sessions. This provided continuity for the children and enabled them to maintain those connections that had become so important to them. Their dedication goes beyond what is expected – they have often provided personalised resources and information and provided emotional support to ensure my children felt confident and prepared.
My husband and I truly value the support that the children have received from Mr and Mrs Pindoria and I am so happy to have the chance to share this. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr and Mrs Pindoria for the National Tutoring Awards 2025. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for Get Smart Tutoring. My child was needing additional support to understand and conquer science since starting secondary school.
Mr Pindoria has been extremely flexible and understanding to our needs. He has been methodical in analysing the gaps and came up with an approach to target the gaps in knowledge.
The tutoring initially started for our child to keep up with school and his peers. Now the tables have turned, and our child is now ahead of the curriculum and is covering topics in advance – thus easing our child learning at school and aiding the consolidation.
As parents, we appreciated the feedback after each lesson. It is invaluable, as it provides an insight on the progress and our child’s contribution to the session, it helped as gauge our child’s engagement. It gave us a steer on where we, as parents, can do during the week to support our child to consolidate and reinforce the learning.
Not many other tutoring centres provide this. I understand many centres have the next sessions to get to; but we love the fact that Get Smart Centra has factored this into their timetable; to allow a few moments of feedback.
We loved the presentation that was put together of how the centre works, lots of great tips and advice on best practises. The main take away for us that resonated closely to home for us was, screen time. The analogy that Mr & Mrs Pindoria describes it as each time they have screens, was like their brain cells eating away !
Also in the presentation was the reminder of the importance of timetable and routine. While it may be obvious and a given for most parents, it aided discussion within the family unit and how we should embrace it as a tool and not as a punishment!
We have regular contact with Get Smart Tutoring; whether it will be via WhatsApp (for the odd session change to accommodate an event), presentation and the parent consultation session. We are grateful for the flexibility to schedule in an ad hoc meeting to tweak and re-strategize our child’s approach.

We are so lucky to have received a recommendation for Get Smart Tutoring Centre, which led us to enroll our son. It has been four years since our son started attending Get Smart Tutoring Centre and we couldn’t be happier with our decision.

Both our children have been attending Get Smart Tuition for over four years. Mr and Mrs Pindoria came highly recommended from a friend whose daughter had recently gained a place at a local grammar school. At the initial meeting, we were hugely impressed by their ethos and approach to teaching.
The children look forward to their tuition sessions, despite having to wake up early on Saturday mornings! They have been performing very well academically at school, which they attribute largely to the individually structured teaching plans devised by Mr Pindoria. They find the eighty minute sessions engaging and fun and often comment on how much they enjoy Mr Pindoria’s mid-session talks, in which they are encouraged to partake in. Six years ago, my oldest son joined Get Smart Tutoring. Before he started tuition, he struggled with reading and lacked confidence in himself, but since joining the centre, the progress he has achieved is remarkable. So good, in fact, that we decided to send my second son there, too, they have both gone on to successfully pass their 11+ exams, which are one of the toughest exams for such a young age.
Founders of Get Smart are not only knowledgeable and professional but also patient and supportive. They took the time to understand my children’s needs and adapted their teaching methods accordingly. The supportive environment, combined with the tutors’ expertise and dedication, has made a huge difference in their learning journey. They are highly qualified, and have a tailored approach to teaching across all levels. They often go above and beyond when it comes to tutoring, offering a nurturing approach to their students, as well the much needed structure for setting clear, firm boundaries with the intention of fostering discipline, consistency, and growth.

“Our three children have been studying at Get Smart for a number of years and my wife and I consider ourselves to be very lucky that they have been tutored by Mr and Mrs Pindoria. We feel that not only are our children getting a boost to their education (they are a local comprehensive school) but they also benefit from their caring and nurturing approach. Our eldest daughter obtained a Grade A in her GCSE in Maths and this had a lot to do with her tutoring at Get Smart. Our middle daughter had good and focussed assistance when she was preparing for her 11+ exam, whilst our son is now flying in year 7 Maths thanks to the good grounding that he received at this tuition centre in earlier years. We feel that, overall, they have made a good and positive difference to their academic confidence and motivation.
As well as being good tutors, we also feel as though Mr and Mrs Pindoria are almost family friends. They have a lovely and caring approach and always make time to talk to us parents after a session, passing on invaluable feedback about our children’s progress and also as to the areas where they may require additional input. It is nice too that they see our children as individuals and seem to be able to instil a good academic ethic in our children but without being so pushy as to make them anxious.
